Family Update

Finally!!!!! Kayla has been working hard to recieve her CNA. On November 15th she passed her State Board of Nursing exam with flying colors. She is now working for Uinta Home Health and Hospice. She LOVES it. Sometimes the work itself is not the great but she loves her job.
Jayli hates it when mom leaves, but absolutely loves her sitter. Kelsi is a friend of ours whose husband works with Jorgen at the Jail and they have a little boy not much older than Jayli and she has a blast with little Chase. She comes home in the afternoon just exhausted! He does teach her a lot though. Kids learn best from other kids! She has learned what scrubs are and she gets upset everytime she sees me put them on in the morning. She has translated that style of clothing to relate to mom leaving. It is sad but at the same time good for her to go play with kids her own age and good for mom's sanity to get out of the house and make some money doing what she enjoys doing.
Jorgen is still at the Jail for a little over a year now and is very happy with where he is.
Jayli is just getting SOOO big. I can't believe it. One day her pants fit and the next we are at the store buying new ones that do! She is quite the talker and is full of energy. She is just all over the place all the time. She is our little climber and always independant. She won't let you feed her or even cut up her meals, she has to do it on her own. She is our little princess and loves to dance. The second you turn music on she is out the doing whatever she does.
Well that is us for now, we are headed into the holidays so there will be more excitement to follow.

Little Bunny Rabbit

Jayli had her first 'real' Halloween this year!!! She was a little bunny and was so stinkin cute. She loved it. She was a little confused at first, we took her the the community trick or treat and was a little weirded out about a bunch of people dressed funny in a dark building putting things in a bucket we made her carry. By the end of the night she figured out that it was candy that people were giving her and she now likes monsters and finds them hilarious!!! Now she is addicted to sugary snacks. Especially DumDums. Jorgen was giving out DumDums when we got home and she was mad that he was giving her suckers to other kids!!

add it to your favorites or favorite links on you own websites!

Jayli is ONE!!!!!!

Our little angel is one all too soon. Mom is sad and didn't want to admit that her little princess was one ALREADY!!! Hard to believe it has already been a year. We had a fun celebration-family came from both sides of the family and we BBQ'd and had a fish theme cake. Jayli wasn't too sure about the cake though, she got scared and thought she was going to get into trouble for digging and smashing food, after all, any other circumstance, she does get into trouble for smashing food!!

Update

Well we finally got all moved in!!!! Kayla HATES moving reguardless but it went ok! Kayla is done with school for now, she just has to pass the board now to be a CNA. Over the next two years she will work on her prerequisites that she needs to apply to nursing school. She is a little excited, anxious and nervous all at the same time.

Just perfecting the art

Just another video of Jayli walking, I have many requests to post more videos of her, I never post them because they take so long to upload.

Silly Girl

She not only climbs the couch to get
the fish, to get the lamp too. She sees
us turn it on and thinks she needs to
as well.

Get the Fish

She loves her fish so much she is willing to climb the couch to get to them, she will actually open the top and try to climb in- I can see how that could be bad once she is big enough to climb all the way up there and we turn our back for a second. I had to stop the tape- I was getting nervous since the floor under her is a rock and cement pad.

Jayli Walking - better video

Better Video of Jay walking- She gets so angry when we want her to walk and she wants to be picked up and we just keep walking away from her to make her walk to us.

Jayli's Fish

Jayli LOVES the fish!! She has always been facinated since the day she was born. When she wasn't mobile, she would lay in front of the fish tank in her swing for hours and just watch the fish. Now that she can climb and stand, she climbs the couch and puts her forehead on the glass to watch them. When we won't let her climb the couch she stands on her tippy toes to see the fish. She even has her own one gallon tank next to her bed with baby guppies that she watches at night when she doesn't want to go to sleep yet.

Our big girl!!!

Wow! Jayli is growing and developing so fast that we can literally not keep up with her!! Sometimes I enjoy that I can just set her down outside or in public and she will be able to stand next to me. Sometimes I wish she was still my little cuddly baby all wrapped up tight. I just posted on July 10th that Jayli can stand on her own. July 13th she took her first steps and was a pro by the end of the day!!!

Jayli is always into EVERYTHING!!!!! Anything she sees mom do, she thinks she can do!!! She saw me get a diaper out and now that is all she ever thinks she needs to do. Take all the diapers out and climb into the cupboard. She recently learned how to shake her head 'no' and is just finding out how to use it as a reaction. So naturally she does it ALL the TIME! Inevitably, when I tell her no and to get out of the cupboard, she shakes her head 'no' with the biggest smile on her face! I can't wait till she learns 'yes'

She also has discovered the straw. She can't do the larger ones but she can do the smaller ones that are in juice boxes. She has also learned the cup. She now refuses a bottle and is strictly on sippy cups but she only will drink milk out of a sippy, juice has to be out of a straw or a cup or she doesn't want it. She is my big girl!

Our little walker!

Jayli has learned how to stand. Since this picture, she can stand on her own and even stand up from the floor without any help for balance. She is trying to walk, she just has to figure out how to transfer her balance to get weight off of one foot. She has taken two steps on two different days then fell before she could complete the step. She should be running around in no time! I can't believe she just turned 9 months!

I love my Daddy!

Jayli absolutely adores her Daddy!!
And is ALWAYS in the middle of
his video games, so much that we
just bought her her own chair!
And she knows that she is
'oh so cute'

Don't let the cuddles and smiles trick you, she still has her moments and has a big attitude to back her up!! She is 100% her Mama's baby!

What a summer!

It has been quite the summer so far!!! Starting June 15th, we have been in Green River, Wy with Kayla's family. Jorgen is doing the police academy. We will return home August 16th with a few visists back home here and there. It has been a busy one. Jayli is developing SOO fast that I can literally NOT keep up. She is crawling like crazy, climbing on things, standing on her own and already trying to walk!!!! We guess that she will be walking in the next couple of weeks!!! Along with the fun developements she has developed the ultimate girl attitude!! We are in for a long wild ride with her. She has gotten very tough. Staying at Kayla'a sisters house she has had the opportunity to have many teachers. She spends her days with a 7 year old boy, a 4 year old boy, a 3 1/2 year old boy and a 2 year old girl!! She is learning to hold her own that is for sure. I will have some pictures up in the next few days!!

Jorgen's Birthday

It was Daddy's Birthday yesterday! Now 23!!! He had to work, so while he was there, Jayli and mom went to get his present from wal-mart. She got him a cart that carries you cooler and stuff when you go to the park or beach. She got him a cheesecake and even helped decorate it! From Kayla, he got a nice gaming chair. Pretty nice one too!

Hot day

Finally Evanston has warmed up!!!!! Jayli hasn't got to play outside much yet, but certainly does love it. Today Jorgen took Jay out to play on the deck in the warm sun for a few minutes ( didn't want to get burnt, it would not have taken much on that day )

Getting into trouble

Again one of her predicaments that she can't get out of. When the house gets quiet and you can't find Jayli, just look in the corner, behind the couch, and under the plants table and there she will be taking leaves off to play with! ( The big grin was getting caught-she thought that was funny when Mama popped around the corner at her)

I got ran over!!!

Jayli now plays way too hard and gets herself into the weirdest predicaments!

Happy Mother's Day

Since Jayli is not yet 1-year-old yet, everything is a first and always exciting! This week we celebrated the very first Mother's Day for Jayli and Kayla. Jorgen got up with Jayli and let Kayla sleep in-that alone is a new mom's dream. While Kayla was in silent slumber, Jorgen snuck out of the house with Jayli-jammies and all- to go to the store to buy mama flowers that she picked out herself! Daddy also let her pick out some nice earings and a card. Daddy and Jayli both wrote in the card-Jayli even wrote in it with her own little hand ( with daddy's help of course.) Mommy woke up to a nice surprise since she didn't even know that Daddy and Jayli had left the house! Over all it was a great day. Jayli was in an awsome mood all day and Mom and Dad played video games for part of it! These are the moments that a mom never wants to forget. Good thing we started to blog!!!

BBQ at the park

We had a BBQ at the park with Kira, Sjon, Mindy, Phil, Tyler, Brooke, Jovie, and Bryce.
Jovie had fun playing with bubbles with Tyler and Brooke
And Bryce has a new chair he got from Jayli that will make him a happy man to sit up and see something besides the ceiling
And Jayli crashed so she took a short nap in the car seat.

My first sunglasses!

Jayli got her first pair of sunglasses at walmart! Suprisingly she loves to wear them and doesn't take them off!

Jayli's Fountain

Jorgen put our water pump we use to fill the fish tank with in the bath with Jayli and nothing in the world was cooler at that moment! Then he put a hose on it to take away some pressure and let her spray him with it!

Such a big girl!

Jayli is getting so big, she can stand up on stuff
now, downside is that now she thinks she can
escape her crib!!! I can see this going very bad
in the future!

Daddy has become the human jungle gym

Walk on Bear River

We went on our first walk of the year, it is finally warm enough. Jayli had so much fun she didn't even care that she skipped nap time! She got to go down to the water with dad and see if they could find some fish.

And of course, she could reach the weeds-the fit in her hand-so they just had to get to her mouth! That's Jayli, eats anything she can.

First Post

Hello every one, welcome to our life!! Every one has been on us about starting a blog so that they can pop in on us and see how fast Jayli is growing!!

Just to start off- Jorgen is still with the Uinta County Sheriffs Department working as a Detention Officer. He will be in Rock Springs, Wy for June and July 2008 for Police Academy Training. He was going to Douglas, Wy but plans at work changed. He does not want to be gone for most of the summer but the location is better, Jayli will see her daddy more this way.

Kayla is trying her hardest to finish school. Hopefully to be done by the time Jorgen gets done at the Academy. It is so hard to find time to study when you have a little one that is starting to get WAY to mobile. Other than that, she enjoys staying home with Jayli, now that it is warming up, we can go to the park and walks a lot and Jayli LOVES when we go out places.

Jayli is now almost 7 months and weighs in at 17 lbs. 8 oz. and is a whopping 26 inches tall!!!!! We can not believe it. She grows out of everything before she even wears it!!!
